ABOUT THE ARTIST
THE SOUND.
THE FURY.
A Chicago-area Metallica tribute built around tight musicianship, stage presence and deep knowledge of the iconic metal catalog.
Hailing from the southwest suburbs of Chicago, Blackened is fronted by guitarist and vocalist John Dent. The band's public artist biography describes shows featuring the sound and energy of Metallica, with atmospheric stage effects and a repertoire spanning multiple eras.
One notable moment in the band's history: Dent performed onstage with Metallica during the group's 30th-anniversary celebration, joining them for “Wherever I May Roam.”
